Abstract:
A connection device for testing liquid crystal displays (LCDs), comprising a pressure plate (2a) and a conductive rubber rod (1a), said conductive rubber rod (1a) being provided with a plurality of conductive rings (11a) capable of respectively corresponding to connection electrodes (31) of an LCD; the pressure plate (2a) is disposed above the conductive rubber rod (1a). During use, the LCD requiring testing is positioned on a work platform, the conductive rubber rod (1a) is positioned above the connection electrodes (31) of the LCD, and the conductive rings (11a) are aligned one-to-one with the connection electrodes (31); the conductive rings (11a) are connected to testing equipment via a cable; the pressure plate (2a) begins to apply pressure to the conductive rubber rod (1a), causing the conductive rings (11a) to be tightly connected to and in full contact with the connection electrodes (31) of the LCD. Test equipment test signals can thus be successfully transferred via the conductive rings into the LCD. The inherent physical characteristics of the conductive rubber rod allow said rod to deform slightly under pressure from the pressure plate, thus ensuring that the conductive rings are tightly connected to and in full contact with the connection electrodes of the LCD.
