Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present invention are a connection method and apparatus, a display device, a terminal device, and a medium. The method comprises: generating a connection code on the basis of connection information when networking cannot be achieved, so that a first screen mirroring application of a client parses the connection code to obtain the connection information and then establishes a connection between the first screen mirroring application and a second screen mirroring application by means of the connection information; and publishing service information, the service information comprising the connection code and available connection information indicated by the connection code, so that when the client cannot establish a connection on the basis of the connection information, the client connects to a server on the basis of the service information. According to the method, a connection code is generated on the basis of connection information when networking cannot be achieved, so that a client parses the connection code to obtain connection information of a connectable server, and service information is published for the client to establish a connection when the client cannot establish a connection with the server on the basis of the connection information, thereby avoiding the problem that a connection cannot be established due to the fact that a server and/or a client cannot be networked, and improving the success rate of establishing a communication connection.
