The present invention enables container-type units to be stacked in tiers to form a multistory building, does not require any work after the building, enables the units to be installed so as to be adjacent to each other without gaps therebetween, and enables the building to be easily relocated. A connection method for a container-type unit building, adapted to build the building by installing container-type units (1) in such a manner that the units (1) are stacked and adjacent to each other and then by connecting the units (1) together. The column members (2) of the units (1) have a box shape having a closed cross-sectional shape. Long bolts (4) are inserted from the column members (2) of the units (1) of the uppermost story through to the column member (2) of the units (1) of the lowermost story, the front ends of the bolts (4) are engaged with fixed plates (9), which are located at the lower part of the building, to prevent the bolts (4) from moving in the axial direction thereof, and the units (1) aligned in the vertical direction are connected by tightening work at the upper part of the building.
