A connection structure (7) between an electronic component and a terminal fitting has: a relay (1) having a relay main body (2) and a plurality of terminal sections; a plurality of terminal fittings (4) that each fit with the plurality of terminal sections; and a holding member (6) therefor. The terminal sections have the tip of a tip section arranged further on an upper surface (2a) side than a bottom surface (2b) side of the relay main body (2), said tip section facing the side surfaces (2c, 2d) of the relay main body (2). A first terminal section (3a) and a second terminal section (3b) having higher hardness than the first terminal section (3a) are arranged on the side surface (2c). A component main body housing section (60) for the relay main body (2), a first terminal section housing section (61a) for the first terminal section (3a), and a second terminal section housing section (61b) for the second terminal section (3b) are provided in the holding member (6). The dimensions (S1) of a gap between an insertion port (65a) for the first terminal section housing section (61a) and the first terminal section (3a) are set so as to be greater than the dimensions (S2) of a gap between an insertion port (65b) for the second terminal section housing section (61b) and the second terminal section (3b).
