Abstract:
In the present invention, a membrane element (3) is applied that has: a filtration body unit (31) used for membrane separation; a header (water collection unit) (32) that collects, from the end of the filtration body unit (31), treated water obtained through the membrane separation; and a treated water delivery unit (34) that delivers the treated water from the header (32). The treated water delivery unit (34) is connected to a tubular perimeter wall (21) of a water collection tube (2A) for collecting the treated water that has been solid-liquid separated by the membrane element (3), and communicates with the inside of the tubular perimeter wall (21). Provided to the tubular perimeter wall (21), in an upper perimeter wall section (22) positioned on the upper side in the tubular perimeter wall radial direction (or a lower perimeter wall section (25) positioned on the lower side), are: a thick-walled section (24) that is thick in a horizontal direction (the direction of arrows X1, X2) of the tubular perimeter wall radial direction; and a connecting hole (23) that penetrates the thick-walled section (24) in the inside-outside direction of the tubular perimeter wall.
