Abstract:
A connection structure for oxide superconducting wire materials, wherein: the space between a wire material to be connected which has a first oxide superconducting wire material having a first superconducting layer on a first substrate and a superconducting wire material for connecting which has a second oxide superconducting wire material having a second superconducting layer on a second substrate is connected in a manner such that the first superconducting layer and the second superconducting layer face one another; and at least the section of the superconducting wire material for connecting which faces the wire material to be connected is configured in a manner such that the second superconducting layer is divided into a plurality of sections in the widthwise direction of the second substrate with unoriented sections extending in the lengthwise direction of the second substrate interposed therebetween, and the unoriented sections comprise the same oxide material as does the second superconducting layer.
