Abstract:
Provided are a connection structure for a pipe member forming knockdown furniture
and the knockdown furniture having the connection structure. The connection
structure facilitates connection work of the pipe member, reducing the time
required for setting up the furniture. The connection structure is used to connect
a pipe member to a mating member and has an engagement member fitted to an end of
the pipe member. In the mating member is formed an insertion hole, and the engagement
member, which is fitted to the pipe member, is detachably inserted in the hole.
An engagement projection is formed on the outer surface of the engagement member,
and the projection is movable inward and outward of the engagement member and
is urged outward. A lock hole engageable with the engagement projection is formed
in the wall surface of the insertion hole.
