Abstract:
A connector (230) coupling a first electronic device (210) and a second electronic device (220) to a power supply to enable the power supply to supply a current to the first electronic device (210) and the second electronic device (220). The connector (230) comprises: a first connector assembly (2311); a second connector assembly (2312); a third connector assembly (232); a power line coupled to the first connector assembly (2311), the second connector assembly (2312), and the third connector assembly (232); a first data line; and a signal switching circuit configured to detect whether the third connector assembly (232) is coupled to the power supply. A charging control method using the connector comprises: when it is detected that the third connector assembly (232) is not coupled to the power supply, controlling the first connector assembly (2311) to be coupled to the second connector assembly (2312); and when it is detected that the third connector assembly (232) is coupled to the power supply, controlling the first connector assembly (2311) to be coupled to the third connector assembly (232), so as to send a power supply connection message to the first electronic device (210) by means of the first data line; or controlling the second connector assembly (2312) to be coupled to the third connector assembly (232), so as to send a power supply connection message to the second electronic device (220) by means of the first data line. When data transmission is performed between the first electronic device (210) and the second electronic device (220), the connector (230) can use a power supply to supply power to said two devices, thereby prolonging the use time of said devices.
