Abstract:
This connector fits with a mating connector and includes a terminal, a housing that houses the terminal, and a retainer that is movably assembled on the housing. The housing includes a lance that is elastically deformable and that engages with the terminal. The retainer includes a restricting part 62 that enters an elastic deformation space 43 in which the lance elastically deforms and restricts the elastic deformation of the lance. The retainer can move between a retracted position at which the restricting part 62 is retracted from the elastic deformation space 43 and an engaged position at which the restricting part 62 has entered inside the elastic deformation space 43 in a state in which the lance is engaged with the terminal. Furthermore, due to the fitting of the mating connector and the housing, the retainer moves between the engaged position and a complete position indicating that the fitting of the mating connector and the housing is completed.
