Abstract:

A connector plug (10) having a contact (13) comprising a leaf spring provided in a plug housing (11) in such a manner as to freely move back and forth, wherein the contact (13) comprises a base portion (33), a contact piece portion (34) and a folded-back portion (36), wherein a spherical portion (35) having an outside diameter substantially the same as or slightly smaller than the inside diameter of a connector socket (24) is formed on this contact piece portion (34) in such a manner as to expand outwardly, wherein a circuit protection wall portion (50) is formed inside a contact projection window (12) in the housing (11), and wherein a contact escape recessed portion (40) is formed in this circuit protection wall portion (50). The spherical portion (35) provides a smooth inserting feeling. In addition, in the case of the socket (24) having a small diameter, a leading portion of the contact piece portion (34) is bent such that it falls into the contact escape recessed portion (40), and the contact piece portion (34) of the contact (13) is inserted into and removed from the interior wall of the socket (24) smoothly.
