A connector (1) is provided with: a housing (2) having an opening (3) into which a flat cable (10) is to be inserted; a flexible locking section (8), which is integrally formed with the housing (2), and which is locked in a locking hole (11) of the flat cable (10) that is inserted into the opening (3); and a lock release lever (9) integrally formed with the locking section (8).
