Abstract:
Provided is a connector that is able to inhibit solder wicking and flux wicking. The connector (10) according to the present invention is provided with a contact (30) and an insulator (20) having, in the outer surface thereof, a mounting groove (22) into which the contact (30) is to be inserted and mounted, wherein the insulator (20) has a bottom wall (23) that is formed so as to be contiguous with the bottom surface and with the lower portion of the mounting groove (22), and at least a portion of the mounting groove (22) has a large-width part (24) that is wider in at least one direction than the groove width at the outer surface in a direction parallel to the bottom wall (23).
