Abstract:
Provided is a connector having a low profile shape and less area, the connector being configured so that: an object to which connection is to be made can be easily retained therein and removed therefrom; and the connector can be prevented from being damaged during operation.
This connector (10) is provided with: an insulator (20) having an accommodation section (22) into which an object (FPC60) to which connection is to be made can be inserted; an actuator (40) mounted to the insulator (20); and a lock member (50) for retaining, in the insertion-removal direction, the object (FPC60) to which connection is to be made which is accommodated within the accommodation section (22). Pressing the actuator (40) in the direction substantially perpendicular to the insertion-removal direction elastically deforms the lock member (50) to unlock the object (FPC60) to which connection is to be made, from the lock member (50).
