Abstract:
A consequent pole-type rotor 20 comprising: a plurality of first magnetic pole sections 60 each including a plurality of permanent magnets and having a first polarity as a result of the permanent magnets; a plurality of second magnetic pole sections 61 each formed between mutually adjacent permanent magnets and having a second polarity different from the first polarity; and a plurality of position detection magnets 70 arranged at one end section 5a in the axial direction of a rotor core 5 and detecting position in the rotational direction of the rotor core 5. The magnetic pole of one end surface, in the axial direction, of each of the plurality of position detection magnets 70 is the same as the magnetic pole of the one end surface, having the second polarity, in the axial direction. The magnetic pole of the other end surface of each, in the axial direction, is the same as the magnetic pole of the other end surface, having the second polarity, in the axial direction.
