Abstract:

Provided is a console box that firmly attaches a unit to a cover and that can be easily detached. The console box is provided with a unit comprising a rectangular box-shaped storage pocket or a rectangular plate-form operation panel, an outer cover that has an opening into which the unit fits and that encloses the unit, and a securing mechanism that secures the unit to the outer cover. The unit has an engaging piece on one longitudinal end side and a first through-hole on the other end side. The outer cover has a hole part which is positioned on one end side of the opening and into which the engaging piece is inserted, and a second through-hole which is positioned on the other end side of the opening, through which the unit is fitted into the opening, and which is provided at a position in the first through-hole in a state such that the engaging piece is inserted into the hole part. The opening is inclined such that one end side is lower than the other end side. The securing mechanism has a mechanism that passes through the first through-hole and the second through-hole to secure the unit to the outer cover, and an operating portion that is exposed to the exterior and is operated when the unit is attached to or detached from the outer cover.
