Abstract:
The present invention provides a multi-layer multi-directional flexible material with any fiber direction and a consolidation method thereof. Taking at least one fiber tow as a group, each group of single-layer fiber tows which are arranged in parallel is laid by using a tow laying or tape laying device; a consolidation yarn penetrates through a cavity part of a hollow needle and penetrates out of an needle eye at a needle tip end; by means of a mechanical up-down reciprocating motion along with the tow laying or tape laying device, the hollow needle is pushed to needle into a base material for needling; the hollow needles move in a laying direction of the fiber tows and needle into the two sides of the laid fiber tows according to designed stitches to consolidate the fiber tows on the base material, and the stitches are located on the two sides of the newly-laid fiber tows; laying and needling are repeated until a designed fiber direction, a designed number of layers and a designed thickness are finished. The consolidation method in the present application is efficient, quick, low in costs and good in adaptability to raw materials, a reinforcement relation between multiple layers of fiber tows or base materials can be formed, and the impact damage resistance of a composite material is improved.
