Abstract:
Provided is a constant speed running control method for a vehicle, the method comprising: calculating a target driving force DP_T on the basis of a difference between a target vehicle speed VSP_T and a vehicle speed VSP; setting a target accelerator opening APO_T on the basis of the target driving force DP_T; and setting a shift stage based on a shift map on the basis of the target accelerator opening APO_T and the presence or absence of towing (running resistance), during towing (the greater the running resistance), the gear shift being likely to be set to a low speed gear (the larger gear ratio), wherein the target accelerator opening APO_T to be referred depending on the presence or absence of towing (running resistance) varies, and the target accelerator opening APO_T is set smaller during towing (the larger the running resistance) with respect to the same target driving force DP_T.
