Abstract:
According to the present invention, a cage (9) of a constant velocity universal joint A has a window section (8) accommodating a ball (7) and is disposed between an outer spherical surface (2) of an inner ring (3) and an inner spherical surface (5) of an outer ring (6). Localized heat treatment is performed on the window section (8) excluding the contact surface with the ball (7), or on the area around the window section (8), a soft part (10) having a lower hardness than the contact surface with the ball (7) is provided, and the ductility of the soft part (10) increases toughness, thereby suppressing the occurrence or propagation of cracks caused by dynamic loading.
