Abstract:
The embodiments herein relate to constraint device in edge computing. In some embodiments, there proposes a method (500) performed by a first functional component (111) implementing an enabler function in a User Equipment (UE) (101). In an embodiment, the method may comprise the step of performing (S501) a service provisioning, to obtain information regarding one or more first network functions (121) implementing Edge Enabler Servers (EESs). In an embodiment, the method may further comprise the step of selecting (S502) a first network function (121) from the one or more first network functions (121). In an embodiment, the method may further comprise the step of transmitting (S503), to the selected first network function (121), a first message including a first parameter enabling the selected first network function (121) to perform Edge Application Server (EAS) selection. In an embodiment, the method may further comprise the step of receiving (S504), from the selected first network function (121), a second message. The embodiments herein allow the UE to skip the EEC registration and/or to delegate the EAS selection to EES, thus may reduce power consumption in a battery-powered constraint UE.
