Abstract:
The present invention comprises machine room unit lifting machines 9a, 9b, 9c that suspend a machine room unit 6 from a support member provided in a hoistway so as to enable the machine room unit 6 to move in the lifting/lowering direction, wherein the machine room unit lifting machines 9a, 9b, 9c suspend the machine room unit 6 at suspension points 21a, 21b, 21c. The machine room unit lifting machines 9a, 9b, 9c are provided on a support member. When viewed from a virtual horizontal plane above the machine room unit 6, the distances from the center of gravity G of the machine room unit 6 to the suspension points 21a, 21b, 21c are substantially equal, and the center of gravity G is located within a region enclosed by virtual straight lines connecting the suspension points 21a, 21b, 21c. When viewed from a virtual horizontal plane above a work platform 5, the suspension points 21a, 21b, 21c for the machine room unit 6 are positioned outside the contour of the work platform 5.
