Title:
CONSTRUCTION LIFT PROVIDED WITH AN AUXILIARY GUIDE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/182953
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A construction lift 1 has a vertically arranged mast 3 along which two lift cars 5 and 7 can be moved. The mast 3 is connected via a connecting frame 9 to a scaffold 11 fixed to a building. In order to prevent the lift cars 5 and 7 from rotating about the mast 3 during use, two vertical auxiliary guides 17 are attached to the scaffolding 11 near two corners of the elevator cars 5 and 7. In these auxiliary guides 17, carriages 19 can be moved which are connected to the lift cars 5 and 7. The carriage 19 is connected to a straight guide 21 which is attached to the lift car 5 via a connecting arm 23. This straight guide extends in a direction D from the auxiliary guide 17 to the mast 3. As a result, the carriage 19 is freely movable in this direction D in order to reduce the risk of the carriage 19 tilting in the auxiliary guide 17.

Description:
Construction lift provided with an auxiliary guide

DESCRIPTION:

Technical field of the invention

The invention relates to a construction lift comprising: a vertical mast, with a longitudinally rigid vertical guide attached to it, - an lift car with attached thereto a guide element movable along the guide, the mast being configured to support the lift car, a vertically arranged and longitudinally rigid vertical auxiliary guide located at a distance from the mast, and a carriage connected to the lift car and movable along the auxiliary guide. By “configured to support the lift car” is to be understood that the mast is of sufficiently strong construction to support the weight of the lift car and also to absorb the acceleration forces during the raising and lowering of the lift car.

Background of the invention

Such a construction lift is known from GB 2529747A. This well-known construction lift has two masts that jointly support the lift cage. The lift car is coupled to the masts on the short sides.

A construction lift is known from NL2020101A in which the lift car extends far beyond the mast, which increases the chance that the lift car can rotate about an imaginary vertical axis during use with respect to the mast due to asymmetrical load, for instance due to wind and / or asymmetrical load.

Summary of the invention

It is an object of the invention to provide a construction lift with only one mast, whereby the chance of the lift car turning about a vertical axis is smaller than with known construction lifts with one mast. To this end, the construction lift according to the invention is characterized in that the mast (3) is the only mast of the construction lift configured to support the lift car and that the auxiliary guide is configured only for guiding the carriage that is connected to the lift car and is not configured to support the lift car. The auxiliary guide is a rigid guide and not, for example, a cable held taut, along which a lift car can be moved. The auxiliary guide is not strong enough to support the weight of the lift car. Since the carriage is movable in vertical direction along the auxiliary guide and the lift car is only coupled via the carriage and not further to the auxiliary guide, the auxiliary guide does not contribute at all to the support of the lift car.

The auxiliary guide can, for example, be attached to a building under construction. The carriage can only move in vertical direction along the auxiliary guide and is not movable in horizontal direction with respect to the auxiliary guide. This prevents the carriage from rotating about a vertical axis.

To reduce the risk of the carriage tilting in the auxiliary guide, a straight guide is provided between the carriage and the lift car. Preferably, this straight guide extends in a direction of an imaginary connecting line between the auxiliary guide and the mast (see double arrow in figure 3). Due to this straight guide, rotation of the lift car about a vertical axis is prevented, while displacement of the lift car to and from the carriage is possible to reduce the risk of tilting.

In order to further reduce the risk of the carriage tilting in the auxiliary guide, an embodiment of the construction lift according to the invention is characterized in that the carriage is connected to the straight guide via a ball joint.

A further embodiment of the construction lift according to the invention is characterized in that the auxiliary guide comprises an elongated profile with a rectangular cross-section, wherein a side wall is provided with a slot extending in the longitudinal direction of the profile, through which slot the straight guide protrudes and wherein the carriage is enclosed in the profile and is provided with guide wheels that make contact with all four side walls of the profile, so that the carriage cannot tilt in the profile.

Viewed from above, the lift car has a rectangular shape and the guide is located in the center of a longitudinal side of the lift car and the auxiliary guide is present near the comer or one of the corners of the lift car furthest from the mast so that the lift car is optimally secured against twisting. Detailed description of the drawings

Figures 1, 2 and 3 show an embodiment of the construction lift according to the invention in perspective, side view and top view, respectively. The construction lift 1 has a vertically arranged mast 3 along which two lift cars 5 and 7 can be moved. The mast 3 is connected via a connecting frame 9 to a scaffolding 11 fixed to a building (only shown in figure 3) along which the construction lift 1 is arranged. The mast 3 is provided at the comers with guides 13 along which guide elements 15 attached to the lift cars 5 and 7 can be moved.

In order to prevent the lift cars 5 and 7 from rotating about the mast 3 (vertical axis) during use, two vertical auxiliary guides 17 are attached to the scaffolding 11 near two corners of the lift cars 5 and 7. In these auxiliary guides 17, carriages 19 can be moved which are connected to the lift cars 5 and 7.

In figure 4 one of the auxiliary guides 17 with one of the carriages 19 therein is shown enlarged. The carriage 19 is connected to a straight guide 21 which is attached to the lift car 5 via a connecting arm 23. This straight guide 21 is formed by a sleeve through which an axle can be displaced in the axial direction. Between the bush and the shaft there is a bearing that reduces the resistance during movement of the shaft in the bush, for example a carriage bearing or a bearing with revolving balls. The straight guide 21 extends in a direction D (see figure 3) from the auxiliary guide 17 to the mast 3. The carriage 19 is hereby freely movable in this direction D in order to reduce the risk of the carriage 19 tilting in the auxiliary guide 17 . For clarification, figure 5 shows a part of the lift car 5 and the auxiliary guide 17 in perspective and figure 6 shows an enlargement at the location of the carriage 19.

The carriage 19 with straight guide 21 and connecting arm 23 is shown separately in Figures 7, 8 and 9, while one of the auxiliary guides 17 is also shown in Figure 7 for clarification. The auxiliary guide 17 has an elongated profile 18 of rectangular cross-section, a side wall 18a being provided with a slot 20 through which the straight guide 21 extends. This slot 20 extends in the longitudinal direction of the profile 18. The carriage 19 is enclosed in the profile 18 and is provided with four large guide wheels 27 and eight small guide wheels 29 that make contact with all four side walls 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d of the profile 18. The carriage 19 is connected via a ball joint 25, see figure 8, to the straight guide 21, so that the risk of the carriage 19 tilting in the auxiliary guide 17 is reduced even further.

Although the present invention is elucidated above on the basis of the given drawings, it should be noted that this invention is not limited whatsoever to the embodiments shown in the drawings. The invention also extends to all embodiments deviating from the embodiments shown in the drawings within the scope of the invention defined by the appended claims.
