Abstract:

Provided is a construction machine configured so that electric components provided in an after-treatment device can be cooled. This construction machine is, for example, a hydraulic shovel and is provided with: electric components 20 disposed in an after-treatment device 17; a cover member 21 for covering these electric components 20; an inlet-side opening 25 provided at one end of the cover member 21, said end being located facing a cooling fan 16, the inlet-side opening 25 allowing cooling air generated by the cooling fan 16 to flow therein; and an outlet-side opening 26 provided at the other end of the cover member 21, the other end being located facing the after-treatment device 17, the outlet-side opening 26 allowing cooling air flowing from the inlet-side opening 25 to flow thereout. The cover member 21 is formed so that the inlet-side opening 25 will expand toward the upstream side of the flow of cooling air, relative to a space which is formed between the cover member 21 and the after-treatment device 17 and in which the electric components 20 are disposed, and the cover member 21 is set so that the space between the after-treatment device 17 and the cover member 21 will narrow from the inlet-side opening 25 toward the outlet-side opening 26.
