Abstract:
Construction machinery and a method of controlling construction machinery are disclosed. The construction machinery comprises: a first pump and a second pump; an engine providing usable torque to the first pump and the second pump; a first joystick and a second joystick for controlling an actuator driven by hydraulic fluid discharged from the first pump and the second pump; a joystick manipulation amount acquisition unit for acquiring the manipulated amounts of the first joystick and the second joystick; and a control unit for adjusting the torque distribution ratio for the first pump and the second pump according to the manipulated amounts of the first joystick and the second joystick, when the sum of the required torque for the first pump and the required torque for the second pump is greater than the usable torque.
