Abstract:
A consumable state indication system and method, and a module and a consumable container therefor, relating to the technical field of printer consumables. A light-transmissive module comprises: a light-transmissive device used for receiving a light source and provided with a plurality of light-transmissive units; a light-transmissive drive sub-module for switching the light-transmissive state of the light-transmissive units in the light-transmissive device; and a light-transmissive control sub-module communicationally connected to a consumable chip to control the light-transmissive drive sub-module to perform a switching operation. The consumable state indication method comprises: a light-transmissive control sub-module receives a consumable state indication instruction stored by a consumable chip, parses the consumable state indication instruction, and sends same to a light-transmissive drive sub-module (S11), wherein the consumable state indication instruction comprises an instruction of allowing one or more light-transmissive units in a light-transmissive device to be in a light-transmissive state or an non-light-transmissive state; a light-transmissive drive sub-module switches the light-transmissive state of the light-transmissive units in the light-transmissve device (S12). The technical solution is easy to implement, requires low costs, and can implement convenient state indication, such that the technical solution can be used for the state indication of consumable container installation, printing amount, and the amount of remaining consumables.
