Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a contact and connector that have a low number of components, reduce the amount of work required for assembly, and allow the contact to be reduced in size. A contact (40) provided with the following: a pair of electrically conductive members (50); and a biasing member (60) that is attached between the electrically conductive members (50) and biases the electrically conductive members (50) towards each other. Each of the electrically conductive members (50) has a base (51) and an attachment part (52). The base (51) of one of the electrically conductive members (50) is separated from the base (51) of the other electrically conductive member (50). Each least one of the electrically conductive members (50) has a support part (56, 57) that extends from the base (51) of that electrically conductive member (50) towards the other electrically conductive member (50) and contacts and supports said other electrically conductive member (50).
