Abstract:

A liquid−to−gas contact device, comprising a liquid−to−gas contact medium formed in a honeycomb structural body partitioned by a plurality of partition walls, formed of a porous material having a plurality of through−holes passing therethrough in the axial direction of the honeycomb structural body, and having a plurality of flow passages passing therethrough from the outer peripheral surface side of the honeycomb structural body and formed isolatedly from the through−holes, and a container for storing the liquid−to−gas contact medium having a gas inlet, a gas outlet, a liquid supply port, a liquid storage tank, and, if desired, a liquid outlet, whereby not only an excellent thermal efficiency can be provided but also the device itself can be simplified and reduced in size by utilizing the capillarity action of the liquid−to−gas contact medium.
