Abstract:
The opening trigger at 180° (6) affects the flexible traction transmission component (7) which in turn pulls the opening limiter at 90° (5), so that the appliance can be positioned from the 90° open position to the 180° open position. The advantage is that, due to the opening trigger position adjacent to the upper body handle, the operator can place the appliance at the 180° open position with one hand from any position without using the other hand.

CLAIMS

1. It consists of a 180° opening trigger (6), a flexible traction transmission component (7) and a 90° opening limiter (5). The cooperation between these components allows the user of the appliance to exceed the 90° opening limit of the appliance. Therefore, the appliance can operate in the 180° grilling open position. The movement of the opening trigger at 180° (6) is carried out due to its position by using only one hand that the operator uses to open the appliance.

2. The contact grill opening assembly with two hinges from the 90° to the 180° position using one hand on the upper handle, according to claim 1, is characterized in that the opening closure of the appliance at 180° (6) is located on the upper body handle, transferring the user's pressure through the flexible traction transmission component (7) and the internal component to the handle to affect the opening limiter at 90°, thereby opening the appliance at 180°.

3. The contact grill opening assembly with two hinges from the 90° to the 180° position using one hand on the upper body handle, according to claims 1 and 2, is characterized in that the opening trigger is located on the upper handle, sliding on the upper handle (coaxially) the movement of the user's hand by means of an internal component on the handle in the flexible traction transmission component (7) to affect the opening limiter at 90°, thereby opening the appliance at 180°.

CONTACT GRILL OPENING ASSEMBLY WITH TWO HINGES BEING ROTATABLE FROM 90 DEGREES TO 180 DEGREE 3 POSITION USING ONE HAND

The invention relates to the contact grill opening mechanism with two hinges from 90° to the 180° position using one hand.

Two-hinged contact grills usually have two operating positions: the closed position in contact and the operating position open at 180°.

The user must open the appliance up to approximately 100° to place the food on the bottom plate to start grilled in the closed operating position. The appliance is stabilized at this position (called the 90° position) through a mechanism located inside the lower hinge.

However, since the appliances are constructed to be able to grill when they are fully open as it mentioned above (180° position, Fig. 2), they have an additional external opening mechanism handled by one side of the appliance. As a result, upon the activation of this second mechanism, the user can exceed the limit of the appliance opening beyond 90°, and the appliance can be placed in the 180° open position.

To open and fix the appliance at the 90° open position, the user can place the appliance in the operating position using one hand.

However, if the user wants to operate the appliance at the 180° open position, they must hold the handle (2) of the appliance upper body with one hand and activate the 90° position excess mechanism with the other, so that the appliance can be opened and operated at the 180° position.

According to the present invention, the user can exceed the 90° position by holding the upper body handle (2) without using the second hand, by simultaneously pulling the opening trigger at 180° (6) with the same hand that is holding the handle.

For this purpose, the 180° (6) opening trigger is positioned adjacent to the upper body handle, so that the above movement is possible using only one hand.

Figure 1 shows the axes (AA) and (BB) around which the appliance upper body can be rotated to meet all grilling positions.

Figure 2 shows the appliance in the 180° open grilling position.

Figures 3 and 4 show the components of such an appliance that is allowed to be open at 180° position. Figure 3 shows the arm (1) that is linked with the upper body handle (2), the opening trigger at 180°, the lower hinge base of the appliance (3), the upper hinge pin of the appliance (4), the two rotation axes (BB) and the opening limiter (5) at 90°. Moreover, figure 4 shows the flexible traction transmission component (7).

The mechanism of the invention as shown in figures 3 and 4 allows the appliance to be at both contacting position (of the plates) and 90° open position.

When the user handling the upper body handle moves the upper body from the closed to the 90° open position to place the food, then the 90° opening limiter (5) comes into contact with the opening limit (3A) of the hinge base (3). As a result, the appliance remains stable at the 90° open position.

In Figure 4, where the inside of the mechanism is shown, we notice that in order to change the position from 90° to 180°, the opening limiter at the 90° position (5) should be moved in the direction of arrow C. This is achieved by pulling the 180° opening trigger (6) in the direction of arrow E, pulling the flexible traction transmission component (7) and moving its end in the direction of arrow D.

Since the lower end of the flexible traction transmission component (7) is in continuous engagement with the opening limiter at the 90° position (5), the latter moves in the direction of arrow C. As a consequence, there is no longer the obstacle limiting the opening at 90° and therefore the appliance can be set to the 180° open position.

The operator can execute the traction movement of the opening trigger at 180° (6) with the same hand that is holding the handle (2) of the appliance upper part.

Figure 5 shows the inside of the mechanism at the 180° open position of the appliance.

On the reverse movement (from the 180° open to the 90 0 open or contacting position) since the opening limiter at 90° is pressed in the opposite direction of the arrow C through a coil, the mechanism returns to its initial position.

That is, the appliance is ready to open from the closed to the 90° open position.
