Abstract:
Disclosed is a contact lens material, comprising a hydrophilic monomer, a cross-linking agent, a starter, and a siloxane monomer. Based on 100 parts by weight of the total weight of the contact lens material, a use amount of the siloxane monomer ranges from 5 parts by weight to 50 parts by weight. Moreover, a chemical empirical formula of the siloxane monomer is: CaHbOcNdSie, wherein C represents the carbon atom, and a is a positive number between 12 and 55; H represents the hydrogen atom, and b is a positive number between 29 and 121; O represents the oxygen atom, and c is a positive number between 4 and 17; N represents the nitrogen atom, and d is a positive number between 0 and 5; Si represents the silicon atom, and e is a positive number between 1 and 9. The contact lens material of the present invention can be prepared into silicone hydrogel contact lenses, and has the advantages of low cost, mass production, simple manufacturing process, etc.
