Abstract:
In order to manufacture a large number of contacts each having an insulating coating in an arbitrarily defined position, this method comprises a step for forming a plated layer produced from a conductive material around a core to form a cylindrical tube, a step for forming a resist film on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical tube, a step for removing part of the resist film to form circular grooves at predetermined intervals and form a helical groove in the resist film between the adjacent grooves, a step for removing the cylindrical tube exposed on the portions of the circular grooves and the helical groove by etching, a step for removing the resist film, a step for forming an insulating film over the entire length including the portions removed by etching of the cylindrical tube, a step for removing the insulating film covering the circular grooves and removing the insulating film over a predetermined distance from the end surfaces of the cylindrical tube in which the circular grooves are formed to expose the cylindrical tube, a step for applying a laser beam to a desired portion among portions covered with the insulating film and, at this time, leaving the insulating film in an arbitrarily defined position by controlling the application position of the laser beam or the like by selection, and a step of removing the core.
