Abstract:

Disclosed are a contact providing method based on geographical position information, the method comprising the following steps: detecting the current geographical position information of a mobile terminal; if determining, according to the current geographical position information, that the mobile terminal is entering a new area, then acquiring an address list in the mobile terminal, the address list comprising contacts and the geographical position information corresponding to the contacts; and acquiring from the address list the contacts having geographical position information of the new area, and providing the contacts to the mobile terminal. When a user arrives in a new area, the method enables a mobile terminal to automatically search an address list for a contact belonging to the new area. Therefore, the method is efficient, effective, and easy to use. Also disclosed is a contact providing device based on geographical position information.
