Abstract:
A contactless measurement method for an offset of a current-carrying conductor relative to a geometric center of a cable core. The essence of the claimed method lies in the fact that: in order to determine the coordinates of a measurement object, such as a cable having a copper core, a used device has a movable coordinate system independent of the position of a measured object. A minimum value of the electromagnetic coordinate of a passing insulating core is determined. The data of an optical measurement system is used. The minimum value of the electromagnetic coordinate of the current working insulating core 1 is subtracted from the determined minimum value of the electromagnetic coordinate of a non-insulating core that is stored in a device memory and calculated at a device calibration stage.
