Abstract:
A contactless power supply device for contactlessly supplying electric power from a power-feeding coil (31) installed on the ground side to a power-receiving coil (32) of a moving body that is stopped at a feeding position, said contactless power supply device comprising, on the ground side, an inverter (20) for outputting a high-frequency alternating current to the power-feeding coil (31) and a metal detection determination processing unit (40) for detecting a metallic foreign object on the power-feeding coil. The metal detection determination processing unit (40) monitors the phases of a voltage and a current output from the inverter (20) to the power-feeding coil (31) and, on the basis of changes in the phases, detects a metallic foreign object that has intruded during power-feeding. In the case of this contactless power supply device, it is possible to use measurement data solely from the ground side to detect metal foreign objects while the moving body is stopped at the feeding location, allowing for simplification of the system.
