Abstract:
Provided is a contactless power transmission system that, even in a case where the connection state of a power transmission coil and a power reception coil fluctuates, can contactlessly transmit the power that is required at the power reception side without excessive voltage and current being generated in a switching power source and the transmission coil. The contactless power transmission system is provided with a power transmission device (1) that has a power transmission coil (L1) and that contactlessly transmits power, and a power reception device (2) that has a power reception coil (L2) and that receives the power contactlessly transmitted from the transmission device (1) and supplies that power to a load (4), wherein the power reception device (2) is provided with a chopper circuit (20) for transforming the voltage generated by the power reception coil (L2) in order to control the power supplied to the load (4).
