Provided are: a container body which, without using a support member, is capable of always standing by itself even through the container body contracts as the content is poured; and a pouring container having the container body. A container body (11) is used for a pouring container (1) provided with a pouring opening (70) for pouring fluid, the container body (11) being provided with folding lines (40) and being configured so as to be folded along the folding lines (40) and to contract as fluid contained in the container body (11) reduces. The container body (11) is characterized in that the container body (11) is provided with the folding lines (40) so that the container body (11) is always capable of maintaining the shape thereof, which enables the container body (11) to stand by itself without requiring another support member, and so that the container body (11) is capable of standing by itself even after the contained fluid has been completely poured.
