Provided is a favorable container connecting tool capable of anchoring a container using a cable such as a rope or a belt, and preventing disengagement from the container when the cable is used at any angle. A connecting tool (10) is to be connected to a cable (3) by fitting a part of the connecting tool to an out-of-round hole (2) of a container (1). The connecting tool comprises a shaft portion (11) to be inserted in the hole (2), one end of the shaft portion (11) is provided with a first flange (12) capable of passing through the hole (2) only when the flange is positioned to have a predetermined angle around the central axis of the shaft portion (11), and the other end of the shaft portion (11) is provided with a second flange (13) having a size which cannot pass through the hole (2). A cable connecting portion (15) is attached to a side opposite to the side of the first flange (12) to have the second flange (13) therebetween so that the cable connecting portion (15) can rotate around the shaft portion (11) without any limitation in angle.
