Description:
"CONTAINERFORCOSMETIC PRODUCTS"

TECHNICAL FIELD

The subject matter of the present invention is a container for cosmetic products which is particularly, though not exclusively, transparent, of the type comprising a support tray for the cosmetic product.

BACKGROUND ART

In the common practice, it is known to use containers of various kinds and shapes for containing cosmetic products such as, for example, transparent or slightly coloured glosses, which can be used by possible users in a simple manner. In normal use, the user holds said container with the one hand, whereas with the other, he/she collects the cosmetic product and spreads the same on the part involved in the administration of said cosmetic product by means of a suitable extraction means or simply using at least one finger. These containers generally consist of a tray containing the cosmetic product, a lid to be rotated about a pivot hinged on said tray and closing means for preserving the cosmetic product within said tray.

It is also known that any logo, graphic symbols, wordings, instructions, drawings, etc. which are intended to improve the visual appearance of the finished product or provide different information to the user, such as the product ingredients or the use of the same, are provided on suitable backings, such as paper, fabric, etc., which, in turn, are affixed, such as by gluing on the outer package which packages the container or, optionally, on the outer surface of the container.

In both cases, these logos, graphic symbols, wordings, instructions, drawings, etc. are normally subject to be unused or to a rapid deterioration, both because the outer package is often discarded by the user, and because the manipulation of the package and/or container usually causes the rapid deterioration of the backings on which these logos, symbols, wordings, instructions, drawings, photos etc. are provided.

Furthermore, the conventional containers for cosmetics, which are usually made in plastics, do not have particular aesthetical patterns therein and are, at most, provided with mirrors or made according to particular shapes, which are obtained upon

moulding the container.

Accordingly, in the field of cosmetics industry, a need is felt to provide a container which is visually attractive inside and/or has logos, graphic symbols, instructions, drawings, photos, etc. which are not subject to the above drawbacks. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to meet this requirement, by providing a container for cosmetics in which the application of logos, graphic symbols, wordings, instructions, drawings, photos, etc. in order to improve the visual appearance of the container and/or provide the final consumer with instructions, is particularly effective and not subject to deterioration or unused. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

These objects are all achieved by the present container for cosmetic products, which are particularly, though not exclusively transparent, due to the possibility of inserting on the tray bottom a graphic symbol or a logo or a photo or the like, which are separated from the cosmetic product by means of a transparent, or slightly opaque, support base; further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will be better understood from the detailed description of a preferred, though not exclusive, embodiment of a container for cosmetic products, such as transparent or slightly coloured glosses. It should be observed that by "transparent or slightly opaque support base" herein and below is meant a support base, which in this case is intended to contain a cosmetic product, which allows the transmission of light to a sufficient extent for the user to see what is contained behind this support base.

In this instance, the support base may be either white or coloured and can be provided in any suitable material (such as any plastic material). BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The annexed figures relate to a particular embodiment of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a schematic axonometric view of the container according to the invention in the open position;

Fig. 2 is a schematic axonometric view of the container from Fig. 1 according to the invention in the closed position;

Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the container from Fig. 1 according to the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ONE EMBODIMENT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

With particular reference to these figures, with 1 has been indicated the container being the object of the present invention. The container comprises a lid 2, substantially shaped as a convex circular lens, rotatably moving about axis A through the substantially cylindrical element 3, which is inserted within a hole 2a formed on a projecting part 2b of the edge of the lid 2. The cylindrical element 3 has the free ends thereof fastened through fixing means, such as fitted by gluing or interference on the outer edge 4a of the tray 4, which is also of a substantially circular shape. Said lid 2 and said tray 4 are also provided, as is conventional in the art, with inner edges 2c and 4b that are suitably cone-shaped in order to ensure the proper closure of the container for improved preservation of the product 5 contained therein. Furthermore, said lid 2 and said tray 4, are provided with snap closing means 2d and 4c, which are obtained by suitably shaping the side edges thereof in a position diametrically opposite to those accommodating said cylindrical element 3.

It should be observed that, while a particular shape of a container for cosmetics is described herein, those skilled in the art will appreciate that this shape cannot be construed as limiting the present invention, hi fact, as will be understood below, any conventional container for cosmetics can implement the technical solution as claimed herein.

Advantageously, according to a preferred aspect of the present invention, the tray 4 has a cylindrical groove 4c therein, which is provided with a substantially plane bottom surface 4d being a support base for at least one graphic symbol 5 or photo or logo or other pattern, either ornamental or informative, which is directly provided thereon or alternatively provided on paper or fabric or other backing material for said pattern.

Said graphic symbol or logo or photo or the like is separated from the cosmetic product 6 by a support base 7 in plastic material, or other suitable material, substantially cylindrical, transparent or slightly opaque, which is inserted within said tray 4 through fixing means, such as by gluing or interference fitting.

As mentioned above, according to several preferred embodiments of the present invention, this graphic symbol, wording, photo, drawing, ornamental pattern, logo or any other pattern can be either engraved or reproduced, such as by means of special inks, directly on the bottom surface 4d of the tray 4, or can be provided on paper or fabric and be interposed between the bottom surface 4d of the tray 4 and the transparent or slightly opaque support base 7, and optionally fixed, by means of gluing, fitting or interposition of parts to the tray 4 or support base 7. In case the cosmetic material 6 is a gloss, it is then inserted within the support base 7 by means of pouring. Alternatively, any other conventional deposition technique of the cosmetic product on the support base 7 can be clearly used.

When the lid 2, the support base 7 and the cosmetic product 6 are provided in transparent material, the graphic symbol or the photo or the logo or the like, which is placed on the bottom of the tray 4 are then be visible by the user both when using the product, with the lid 2 open, and in the stocking step, with the lid 2 closed, thereby both the appearance of the container and the use of the product being provided on said support base 7 are made more attractive.

Accordingly, using a transparent, or slightly opaque, support base 7 placed above the inner surface of tray 4 of the container 1, allows applying logos, graphic symbols, wordings, instructions, drawings, photos, or the like within the container 1, which are not subject to deterioration, and thus always available, both in case of aesthetic patterns and information addressed to the user of the cosmetic product. Practically, the invention described has been found to achieve the proposed objects. The container according to the invention, in fact, is structurally and constructively simple, adaptable to any form of construction; it allows enhancing the enjoyment when administering the cosmetic product, since a graphic symbol or logo or the like are viewed, which are placed on the tray bottom. In addition, due to the shape of the lid, which is advantageously of a convex circular lens, any possibility that the lid contacts the cosmetic product is avoided, thereby resulting in the product being more pleasant to use. The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims.

All the details may further be replaced with other technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials uses, as well as the contingent shapes and sizes may be any according to the requirements, without however departing from the scope of the following claims.
