Description:
CONTAINER FOR DELICATE ITEMS

Technical Field

The invention relates to a container for carrying delicate items whose air vents are formed in such a manner that the item contained is not damaged.

Prior Art

Using a suitable container for carrying living and non-living things is of utmost importance. In relation to logistics, while an item to be carried should be arranged in the most efficient manner in terms of loading and placement for the destination, it should also be considered important that items should reach their destination unharmed as well. Several design factors should be considered especially in transportation of live animals or certain delicate plants.

Particularly, containers for small living things prevent air intake when their lids are closed. Since these containers are stacked on top of one another, boring holes on lids does not provide efficient ventilation and the probability of items reaching their destination in desired condition declines for long distances. Therefore, ventilation is provided by boring holes usually on the side surfaces and rarely on the bottom section of the container. These holes, however, are perforated from the exterior according to the prior art. These holes harm the inner surface's evenness and smoothness due to burrs formed after boring process. Items carried on rough surfaces may be damaged due to small movements or vibrations during carrying. In the prior art, aforesaid problems arise particularly in plastic containers that do not have a long life span since they cannot be perforated from the inside. Containers perforated by means of aforesaid external methods are commercially available. Aim and Brief Explanation of the Invention

The aim behind the development of the invention is to provide a unique container whose vents are bored from within with a special method developed for living and non-living things that require air but also may be damaged even by a slight roughness of the surface during carrying. A container for delicate items developed with this invention is a carrying container that ventilates but does not damage the object it contains. Description of Figures Illustrating the Invention

The figures and the corresponding descriptions used for a better explanation of the container for delicate items developed with the present invention are listed below,

Figure-1: An isometric view of the container for delicate items.

Figure-2: A detailed cross-sectional view on line A-A' of a container for delicate items whose vents are born from the inside.

2. Vent hole

3. Outer surface

4. Inner surface (

5. Lip for fitting the lid

6. Burr

7. Vent hole perforated from the inside

Detailed Explanation of the Invention

A container (1) for delicate items developed with the present invention comprises vent holes (2) at least of the size of a needle hole which does not cause any roughness on the inner surface of the container (1) and are formed following a perforation process performed from the inner surface (4) of the container (1) towards the outer surface (3) on at least one side of the container (1) by utilising a special method. By this means, any damage to the item contained due to burrs (6) formed on the container's (1) surface following perforation of the container (1) is prevented. Therefore, any bruising on the item surface due to grinding or hitting against the container's (1) inner surface (4) while the item is During the perforation process, burrs (6) are formed on the perforated surface which may damage the carried item in case of contact. It is not possible to avoid burr (6) formation. As shown in relation to the vent holes (7) perforated according to the methods of the prior art in the figure, in the vent holes perforated from the outer surface (3) towards the inner surface (4) burrs (6) form sharp protrusions on the inner surface (4) and damage the item (Figure 3).

In order to prevent formation of burrs (6) in the form of sharp protrusions on the inner surface (4) to which the carried item contacts, perforation is performed according to a special method where holes are bored by applying force from the inner surface (4) towards the outer surface (3). Thus, burrs (6) are formed on the container's outer surface (3). The burrs (6) belonging to these vent holes (2) protrude from the inner surface (4) to the outer surface (3) and consequently any contact of the item carried within the container with a burr (6) is avoided. The diameter of vent holes (2) vary depending on user needs. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the container (1) comprises vent holes (2) perforated by multiple needle-sized perforators. However, this size may vary depending on desired ventilation level in different embodiments of the invention.

The vent holes (2) on the container (1) may be perforated at equal intervals on parallel lines or without a pattern or figure.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the container (1) according to the invention comprises more than one vent hole (2). However, the number of vent holes (2) may vary depending on the user's preferences.

In the container (1) for delicate items, all the walls (8) or one or a few of the walls (8) may be perforated depending on the useY's purpose.

The top profile of the container (1) according to the invention may be in form of a square, rectangle or any polygon. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the container (1) may be made of plastic or any other material that can provide rigidity.

In order to close the container by using lids produced in compliance with the container (1), the container (1) comprises a lip for fitting the lid (5) that allows closure by receiving the lid.
