A food tray filling system comprises: a transport line that continuously transports a plurality of food products; a retention area in which the food products are retained; a transfer mechanism that transfers food products from the transport line to the retention area; a hand that can collectively hold two or more food products being retained in the retention area; and a robot that transports the two or more food products to a food tray having an opening by moving the hand.
