Abstract:
A container for holding eye products, wherein the eye products may be: corneal contact lenses, a corneal contact lens care solution, a corneal contact lens lubricating fluid and ophthalmic preparations. The container consists of material containing plastic; the material also contains polyhexamethylene guanidine; and the weight ratio of the polyhexamethylene guanidine is 0.1-20%. Since the polyhexamethylene guanidine is fed in the fabrication material of the container for holding eye products, the container itself has antibacterial activity. The present container may inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria and may greatly reduce the bacterial infection risk of corneal contact lens wearers.
