A container for supplying molten metal, comprising a container capable of storing molten metal and leading the molten metal to the inside thereof or supplying the molten metal to the outside thereof by regulating a difference between internal and external pressures, a flow passage allowing the inside and outside of the container to communicate with each other to flow the molten metal therethrough, a cover disposed so as to cover the first opening part of the container and having a second opening part smaller in diameter than the first opening part, and a hatch openably installed at the second opening part and having a through hole allowing the inside and outside of the container to communicate with each other, wherein the through hole is used, for example, for regulating the internal pressure of the container or for inserting an electrode for detecting the level of the molten metal in the container.
