Abstract:
Provided is a container transport mechanism having a simple configuration such that, even with a chain attachment that protrudes from a link plate in the same direction as the rotation axis of sprockets, it is possible to suppress the deviation in the timing of receiving or passing a container with the chain attachment, to reduce the variation in the container transport position, and to prevent scratches and dents on the container. A container transport mechanism (100) comprises: a chain (110) that is configured by an inner link plate (111) and an outer link plate (115) being alternately connected in the longitudinal direction of the chain; a plurality of sprockets (119); and a container transport path (R) in which a cylindrical container (C) in an upright state can be pushed by a chain attachment (113) disposed on the chain (110), and transported in the direction of travel of the chain (110). The chain attachment (113) is disposed in such a manner as to protrude from the inner link plate (111) in the direction of the rotation axis of the sprockets (119) and toward the container transport path (R) side.
