Abstract:
A containment rack is configured in such a manner that, when an earthquake occurs, the far side of a shelf plate, across the object placement surface thereof, is caused to be lower than the near side to thereby prevent an object stored in the rack from dropping or collapsing. A containment rack provided with: a shelf plate (11) having a placement surface on which an object to be stored is placed; and a support member (12) for supporting the shelf plate (11). The shelf plate (11) is movable, due to vibration, relative to the support member (12) in the front-rear direction when viewed from the opening through which the object is loaded and unloaded. A placement surface tilting mechanism is provided between the shelf plate (11) and the support member (12), and the mechanism causes the far side of the shelf plate (11) to be lower than the near side when the shelf plate (11) has moved in the front-rear direction.
