Abstract:
Provided is a scheme that allows content to be accessed easily by making a phone call to a server using a telephone number from a terminal that is capable of both telephone and data communications, such as a cellular phone or a smartphone. Telephone numbers that allow content to be specified uniquely are assigned to content. When a user wants to view certain content, the user makes a phone call from a communication terminal to a response device using the telephone number for specifying the content. The communication terminal initiates data communication simultaneously with the transmission of the phone call. The response device receives the phone call transmitted from the cellular phone. Then, the response device matches the telephone number for the content with a distribution server that can deliver the content. The response device transfers the data communication session, which was transmitted from the communication terminal, to the content distribution server. The content distribution server reads the content and delivers the content to a content reception unit, enabling viewing of the video content at the communication terminal.
