The present invention relates to a content-centric network router, the router comprising: a transceiver for transmitting and receiving one or more from among a content request message and a content response message; and a pre-fetching module for determining the popularity of the xzxzcontent data requested by the content request message, and on the basis of the popularity, deciding whether or not to pre-fetch the content data, and if the decision is to pre-fetch, then generating a message requesting the next content data, the content data following said content data.
