Abstract:
A content delivery system delivers at least one of a first content and a second
content from a delivery server (1) which stores a compression-coded bit stream
of the first content and a compression-coded bit stream of the second content
to a terminal (3) via a network. The content delivery system includes a conversion
device (2). When a syntax indicating the sequence to be satisfied by the bit stream
regarding the content to be delivered from the delivery server (1) to the terminal
and a syntax of decoding information previously sent to the terminal (3) do not
match, the content delivery system converts the syntax of the content to be delivered
to the terminal so that it matches the syntax of the decoding information and delivers
it to the terminal. The conversion device (2) performs through processing of
the content without syntax conversion when the syntaxes match, and delivers
the content to the terminal after syntax conversion when the syntaxes do not match.
