Abstract:
The present invention relates to polymer fibre artificial muscles, in particular to a continuous automatic twisting and winding apparatus and method for polymer fibre artificial muscles. The present apparatus comprises a wire feeding mechanism, polymer fibre, a twisting mechanism, a winding mechanism, a translation mechanism, and a bottom plate. The central axis of a rolling bearing I in the wire feeding mechanism is horizontally aligned with the central axis of a spline shaft in the winding mechanism; the polymer fibre is generally nylon fibre filaments or polyester fibre filaments; the twisting mechanism, the winding mechanism, and the translation mechanism are all mounted on the bottom plate; a twisting mechanism connecting seat in the twisting mechanism is fixed on a front support seat in the winding mechanism; and a belt seat bearing in the translation mechanism has an interference fit connection with the spline shaft in the winding mechanism. A guide rod in the translation mechanism is mounted on a rear support seat in the winding mechanism, and is fixed with a nut. The present apparatus increases the preparation efficiency of artificial muscles, achieving automated production of polymer fibre artificial muscles.
