Abstract:
A continuous casting abnormality prediction device is disclosed. The continuous casting abnormality prediction device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a temperature sensing unit having a plurality of thermocouples arranged at intervals in a mold receiving molten steel inside a tundish through a submerged entry nozzle; and a control unit for determining submerged entry nozzle damage and/or a slab defect, which includes at least one of mold slag mixing, a slab surface longitudinal crack, and a slab surface transverse crack, by using temperature values sensed from the plurality of thermocouples while a continuous cast process is performed.
