Abstract:
A continuous crystallizer is provided. The crystallizer comprises a first reactor which has a first rotating inner cylinder for forming a first interspace with the inside wall of a first outer tube, and in the first interspace a reaction mixture is allowed to pass through as a spiral flow in a Taylor vortex state to cause blending of the reaction mixture and to cause nucleation. The crystallizer further comprises a second reactor which has a second rotating inner cylinder for forming a second interspace with the inside wall of a second outer tube, and in the second interspace the reaction mixture extracted from the first reactor is blended further and crystals are grown therein. Thereby, the continuous crystallizer realizes crystallization of well-defined crystal particles of a specified crystal size.
