The present invention addresses the problem of making it possible to measure the temperatures of objects to be treated in a simple and appropriate manner in any desired position in a continuous heating furnace for sequentially conveying and heat-treating objects to be treated that are held on a stationary beam. In the continuous heating furnace (10B), when objects to be treated (W) held on a stationary beam (14) provided above a furnace bed (13) are sequentially conveyed by a walking beam (24) that performs a walking action and the objects are heat-treated, a guide groove (17) passing through the furnace bed is provided along the conveyed direction of the objects to be treated, a temperature sensor (30) that moves in the conveyed direction of the objects to be treated is provided along the guide groove, and the temperatures of the objects to be treated moving through the guide groove within the continuous heating furnace are measured by the temperature sensor.
