Abstract:
A continuous hot rolling facility comprising a front stage having a mill of a plurality of stands, and a rear stage having a mill of a plurality of stands disposed on the downstream side of the front stage in the flow direction of a rolling material. The mill of two or more stands in the rear stage is a deformed roll mill or a roll mill of extremely small diameter. Each deformed roll mill or roll mill of extremely small diameter of two or more stands in the rear stage has a drive motor of larger capacity than that of a drive motor for the mill of any stand on the upstream side. The facility is suitable for production of a fine grained hot rolled steel plate and excellent in plate passing performance (meandering prevention) and plate shape.
